ONE Church
FAQ’s

What changes are taking place at Northwest Church?

After years of prayer and preparation, we are beginning the process of expanding and enhancing what was formerly our “Live & Loud” building. This includes removing the back walls to install rising seating that will double our seating capacity! We will also see major upgrades to the stage and video screens, renovations to our restrooms and nursery areas, and a major facelift for our main entrance and lobby.

Why are we making the Worship Center larger?

We believe we are experiencing a new season of growth and expansion all across our church’s ministries. There would be no reason to expand if this was not the case.

Will the Worship Center be closed during construction?

We are committed to maintaining our great Sunday morning services, and so our Worship Center will remain open on Sundays. Construction will happen during weekdays, Monday through Friday. We believe this is imperative to seeing the amazing growth that our church has experienced. You may see some construction equipment, but Sundays will still be the great services that you enjoy. However, some of our midweek programs like Celebrate Recovery will temporarily move to the Sanctuary building.

What will happen to the Sanctuary?

Now that we have consolidated our services into the Worship Center as ONE church family, the Sanctuary will become a coffee shop, community hub, and multi-purpose space to invite even more people to come onto our campus throughout the week. Stay tuned for more news in this area.

Will we have a variety of worship styles?

Singing together is just one way we develop a lifestyle of worship to the Lord. Regarding our worship in music, our worship music will be dynamic, defined by our awe and response to the Presence of God while being accountable to the truth of Scripture. We use new songs to continually respond to fresh moves of God (Psalm 98:1), and songs and hymns that have carried timeless and powerful messages over the decades and centuries. Worship across all services will be the same, creating a common experience encouraging us to worship and show our love for God with everything we have (Mark 12:30).

How will we pay for the remodel?

Our responsibility is to be good stewards of the offerings that our church is given, and so we are committed to remaining debt-free. Northwest, because of wise decisions by our Elder Board and through the blessings of God, has been able to save over $1.9 million to begin this project. Thus, we are able to cover the majority of the costs out-of-pocket. However, there will still be an estimated $400,000 necessary to complete the project. If you would like to give towards this, you can donate online through the link on this page and mark it towards “One Church.”

When will go to having two services instead of three?

Our ultimate goal is to consolidate into two service times, but we are keeping the current  8 a.m. service until the building is expanded.

Will there be improved ADA access in the remodel?

Yes! We are excited that those who need ADA access will be able to experience the new stadium-style seating through an ADA lift, which you can see in the video at the top of the page. We will also be installing a new ADA ramp on the stairs going up to the building and the patio.

Will we have a kitchen in the new building?

Yes, there will be a new kitchen installed in the northwest corner of the building, which is currently used as custodial storage. We want to make sure that we can still provide great food for Celebrate Recovery and many of the great events, such as Comedy Night, that we have every year.
